Anyone been across the border lately, what is it like getting back, we're talking walking, and how about late at night, maybe 12 or 1 am. Thanks.

I've heard stories of both long and short lines to walk across.
Best source of info for TJ is at clubhombre

Long line walking yesterday at 6 p.m. but it moved quickly, about 30 minutes. I was down three times last week, it varied, but it is getting better at least on foot.

What I would recomend is that if you have no urgent business, no reason to stay in line for hours. The only way to avoid any hassle is to either cross on a bicycle or have a cane(handicapp) they will allow you to the front of the line. It is very time consuming and at this point by foot it can take anywhere from 1hr to 3hrs. At one point on Sept 11 the border did close, I would not take the risk of this happening again( my 2 centavos)
Hope this is heplful.

Mara is right on the money once again......why can't the whole county be full of wonderful people like Mara?

The bicycle method works great.  Even on a full day, it takes much less time than walking ever could, even if they weren't searching and xraying everything.

Just ride up on the right lane and wait until the inspector is done with the car being looked at and you are next in line.

This is one of the few "get out of jail free" cards left in life......

no personal experience here lately but there is a thread about it on the LA board. one of the other messages always talks about how the trophy chicks dont show up to work at the clubs because the gringos arent coming alot becuase the border wait is so long.

The Caliente Sport Book for a little action on the NFL.  And as long as I'm there, maybe I'll head over to the Madonnas, Penthouse or Chicago in case the chicas get tired of vacation.  Happy hunting all you TJ mongers.
