Let me repeat, so you can try to understand.  "My "Thank You" to the Sports Admin was for stopping the non-responsive post and mere name calling that many, including you, seem to thrive on."  (The important words are "non-responsive post")

GE as reported will cut 12,000 jobs,  Macy*s announced today it will cut 5,000 jobs and close stores, Sears is closing amore stores than previously reported.        .

It is not corporate  tax rates, it is  the "business", demand for "products" that drive businesses to expand and create jobs.     If companies can keep more cash from tax cuts with business and markets for products as is, why should they expand and create jobs?

GE is a company in trouble that's in the midst of a massive re-structuring.  Macy's is an old, brick-and-mortar retailer that's a dinosaur in the age of Amazon. Sears has been on life support for years. None of it has anything to do with the broader economy, which is booming (even though it's now on crack from Trump tax cuts).

The point is that the three companies you cite have been coming apart at the seams for a long time, not just the first three days of the year. So you are making a connection that doesn't exist.
Blind partisanship from the left is just as dumb as blind partisanship from the right.
There will be plenty of evidence that the Trump tax cut was dumb.  This isn't it.

He makes you look almost smart by comparison.

The key word here of course being "almost". lol

Tax cuts for corporations, just like for individuals, only impacts companies that are actually profitable. Except of course by leftie logic, people who currently pay ZERO federal income tax should also be getting a tax cut, you know "From each according to his abilty... yada yada yada" lmao

He's an embarrassment to the Left, while you and Duncey are transparent embarrassments to the right.  Most of the time you make about as much sense as your buddy, Gumby.  Say, is he on a time out again?

Now I will clean it up by dusting off your last two.

There are MANY reasons that drive businesses to expand and take on more payroll. Of course "demand" for your product/service is a factor, but tax policy, regulatory statutes, good management/ownership, psychology, etc also play a big part. And what do you think creates the "demand" you speak of H2H to begin with?

The tax cuts, along with a more pro-business regulatory playing field, will enable many of those companies to reinvest in themselves in the form of better training for its sales staff, a wider and more effective marketing/advertising campaign, better customer support, higher salaries leading to better office morale, better/nicer offices, etc. which are all factors in help getting new business, keeping it, and rewarding key employees so they don't leave to join your competition.

It's very simple. The harder the government makes it on me as a business owner, the more difficult it is for me to be able to justify taking on more risk through expansion.

Some folks imbibe the Kool Aid without looking at the taste, smell or color.

Tax cut growing business and them investing more is on of those Kool Aid. Continue to imbibe.

You have a right to believe in your irrational economics. Republicans consider a national budget is just like a checking account which they write checks and continuously bounce.

Keep going.

The Trumpers should be buying out Macys to keep them afloat.Wonder how  many of them  even know that their Idol 's clothing line made overseas still sells there.

Yes ,one of the disadvantage of giving big tax cut to companies is that  they don't have to use it to expand and hire. That's  something the Republicans just don'g get- that tax cut don't always trickle down.Who cares for trickle down crumbs anyway.

Instead of increasing the national debt to pay for the tax cut for the wealthy they should have raised  the taxes on companies that move overseas for cheap labor and no benefits ,but then  send their product back to America to sell ,thus saving millions.Companies that stayed in America would be better able to compete against them.

They moved overseas because of greed not  federal taxes .So no tax  cut gonna make them bring American jobs back to this country. So let the  Trumpers hold their breath.

Enjoy the positive  stock market boom. But also educate yourselves on the negative  vulnerability of it ,and its devastating domino effect.

They were in bed with Obama. They no longer have that advantage with Trump in the Oval Office.

Macy's made a political maneuver in dropping Ivanka's clothing line and lost.

I know you are eager to see the economy worsen but jobs are actually coming back.

It doesn't matter, he won't try to get one.

It will ruin his 10-11 hour days posting on TER.
