Marriott and Loews are both pretty good. Good location in Center City and both fairly large so you can kinda get lost in the crowd. Don’t recall the key card situation.

Both hotels mentioned above require elevator key cards for security reasons and insurance requirements to ensure that only the guests and authorized personnel can access the required floors. Most hotels in large city downtown areas have or will transition to elevator key cards to keep vagrants from wandering down hotel room corridors accosting guests. Soon key cards will be as prevalent in major city downtown hotels as free Wi-Fi.

If that’s the case Marriott is the best bet. It’s so big it’s easy to meet up in the lobby without attracting attention, just like we do in Vegas (baby)!

Marriott does need a card to go up to the rooms.  Been there done that.  I just met the friend by the elevator.
