The definition seems like it's mostly a bad thing/experience, but is it still considered a TOFTT if the lady turns out to be an ATF and highly recommend to other mongers?I think TOFTT originates as a sports term, specifically, baseball.

In baseball, you step up to the plate with the intention to get beaned or "hit by pitch" in order to get on base or to advance a runner. Sometimes, you get an easy pitch and hit a home run. Celebrate it.

In team boxing, you're a number 10 but you agree to fight the opponent's number 1, take a pummeling, and leave your team's number 1 to fight their number 2 (or below). Sometimes, you get in a lucky punch and the guy goes down giving you a win for the team. Celebrate it.

Same thing in chess: You agree to play the opponent's first board. Somehow, he (or she) blunders, giving you the win. Celebrate it.

To help a teammate get a date with the pretty girl, you agree to TOFTT and go on a double date with her ugly girl friend. It turns out that the ugly girl friend is really nice, great personality, and loves to give BBBJ NQNS. Celebrate it.

Not everyone will agree, but I think that TOFTT refers to taking the chance, TOCFTT. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. It's still TOCFTT or TOFTT.
