I what to know what percentage of people have a run in with LE in their hobbyist career?
How bad is it when it happens? Can it be handled on the down low or is your life over.
I’m trying to weigh the risk to reward ratio. Thank you for your help.
P.S. I have been on other boards in a variety of topics. This is by far the most helpful and non judgmental board out there.
to be able to calculate a ratio or a percentage. Just from being around a while, I can tell you that convictions are hard to come by in this arena. DA's typically need an incriminating recording to get a conviction, so being careful about what you say. Providers are both arrested and convicted more often than clients. MP's and Houses are more at risk than independents and street walker's are more at risk that MP's.
TER members are more savvy than most, but on these boards, I have heard of only a few cases of people being busted. The recent TBD case was, of course the biggest, but that's a case that is a little beyond the scope of what any individual can ever be concerned about.
Most Districts don't plaster your name all over the place. An arrest might make the paper, depending on the circumstances, but more arrest don't make the paper than do.
Again, this is all anecdotal because there is no real data by which to judge the risks.

I've never tried to list the variables and what factors might determine them, but there are a great many, and several are totally whimsical, such as the accident of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with your schlong hanging out.

The best preventative is to study the wisdom and experience of the many participants on this board who are constantly discussing ways to be safe. I learn something new here every other day, and have many laughs in the process. Plus, the awesome reviews provide incredibly useful information that can lead to fulfilling experiences and bbjteokus. LOL
If you avoid the streets and bars, and see only 3X reviewed companions, and make no enemies, and coerce no one, and keep your eyes open, your chances of disaster are very minimal.

There’s no possible way that 1 in every 20,000 illicit sexual encounters result in a bust. There aren't even close to that many LE agents. How many illicit sexual encounters are taking place right at this moment? It's a lot more than 20,000, and in this moment, no one is getting busted.
Your odds of getting busted, even if you engage in the most reckless of behavior, is more in the vicinity of 1 in 3,000,000,000, given the number of individuals engaged in the hobby, versus the number of LE dedicated to busting you. Your odds are probably even better than that, given that every bust of a single escort or client requires 3 to 7 LE agents.
Be careful and vigilant, and I think it's quite possible to drive your risk of being busted to such astronomical odds against that it a virtual 0% risk.
these are some variables that would increase the risk of arrest:
1/ seeing an unknown escort in a mid-priced hotel in Virginia, Tampa, Orlando, San Diego, or O.C.; that seems to be how the Tampa hobbyists were busted;
2/ seeing any streetwalker, because LE could be in the neighborhood, or she could be wired;
3/ seeing any escort who has recently been arrested;
4/ seeing any escort who is a regular user of cocaine or other controlled substances;
5/ frequenting spas involved in oriental white slave trafficking
6/ frequently seeing porn star escorts through agencies operating in interstate commerce - the Mann and Travel Acts are still on the books, remember;
7/ seeing escorts who are barely legal, and may not be; and
8/ using any kind of coercion, dishonest or unethical bartering, or misrepresentation in obtaining sexual favors from escorts.
On the other hand, if you only see multi-TER-reviewed independents, your risks are sharply reduced, unless something utterly strange happens to get LE attention. That is the unpredictable X-factor.
You're also absolutely right about each of those variables.
she may have been "turned out" by LE to snare unsuspecting hobbyists. You read her reviews and she sounds great but when you go see her, you get arrested. Granted, they can only catch a few before word gets out, but I'd hate to be one of those few.
Many times I've been tempted to ask my favorite provider to set up some type of tip off phrase if LE is using her. That way I could back out and they wouldn't know she wasn't still cooperating with them.
My next biggest worry is getting my car broken into while I'm inside; this is probably much more likely than any LE visit.
I'm sure there are a fair number of individuals in law enforcement who could be woo'd to lick pussy with the right wine, cheese and a proper garage for the bike.
No money exchanged, of course, just a fine service to a lady in need. Serve thy country.
That we would get busted, the review system, you know the girls are legit (3+ review min. rule)and with agencies like BDJ, E2K BM, I don't give it a second thought. The only anxiety I experience is that pertaining to the girl I'm about to meet.

-and in the MAJOROTY of those busts...the undercover cop never never never will get in your car. too many safety issues when she is in your car...so they have the girl cop direct you to a close by motel room. if you ever try to pick up a street girl, you ask her to get in before you say ANYTHING. if she's a real hooker she gets in. if she's a cop, she will ask you what you want and how much you can pay. once you tell her that stuff and "solicit" for sex...even if you drive away you still stand a good chance of getting arrested. even if you're never charged...you get busted, your car gets impounded...major pain. try explaining that one to your significant other...."where's the car honey?"
getting busted in an asian massage parlor or by an independent must be a truly rare occurence.
the girls are usually the ones gettign nailed...and even that is rare. it is a lot of effort for LE to setup an escort. the independent girls are more at risk than the agencies in that situation because the independents don't communicate as quickly as the agencies. when girl from agency A gets nailed...agency A calls all the other local agencies and tells them what hotel room resuled in the bust. no more girls go to that room. cops wasted all that time/money to rent room/set up surveillance for ONE BUST. not really worth their time. independents don't have that network of info..usually.
guys - we are at low risk of getting busted. but never say never...it could happen.
in this business..the girls are the ones at the most risk.
