FYI, this question comes up every few weeks or so, along with questions re all the other acronyms.  The search function at the bottom will find the answers.  

Now what's funny is that the message in the previous paragraph is also periodically given; the point being that the wealth of info on this forum and how to capture it is not intuitive to newcomers.  Enjoy.

Below is a link to a glossary of various hobby and chat terms. It is very useful for Newbies and even old hands.

Rather than go to another website, why not try using the "FIND MESSAGE" button at the bottom left corner on the front page of this discussion board? Actually, the FIND MESSAGE tool is available on all TER discussion boards.

When you get to the FIND MESSAGE screen, you can search through old posts on the board by entering key words such as "ymmv" in the SEARCH FOR box. If you want a more complete list of terms, try searching under the keyword "abbreviations" or "acronyms". The default DATE RANGE for the search is 30 days. Change this to something like 180 days or more.

Many experienced TER members stop by here to lend a hand to the newbies. The helpers tend to get a little frustrated when the same questions are repeated over and over. Please search the board first and then ask follow-up question(s) if some terms are still unclear.
