Cancellation double standard - anyone else experience this?

Anyone else experience a situation like this:   I schedule with a well reviewed, high-end provider ($600/hour) for a 90 min appointment.  This particular lady has a clear cancellation policy requiring a fee for cancellation same day.  I schedule for a 90 minute date in Secaucus on a Sat.  I get fully  screened with no issue.  Provider confirms and reconfirms our appointment via emails day before and day of. Texted pleasantly back and forth morning of date to clarify details, inc time and location.    I drove 50 miles to get there ahead of time to not be late.  Provider then repeatedly asks me to adjust time to meet her changing schedule, and each time I agree.  One hour before our scheduled time, she cancels outright writing me that she has reconsidered and does not think we are a good match.  I politely ask why, but receive no reply.  Had I canceled at that point she would have charged me a $200 cancellation fee.  As it was the experience wasted my Saturday afternoon and I drove two hours (one hour each way), with no real explanation.  Not cool, but I just grin and bear it.  Anyone else encounter this double-standard sort of situation?  Any suggestions?

How about a provider that requires a deposit, but when they cancel the appointment do not have the ability to return deposit.
Then have the balls to reach out a few months later and try to hook up at her newly raised rates like she was doing me a favor.
Got to laugh this stuff off, learn from it and move on.

It's unfortunate, but this post could have run 10 or 15 years ago. Same with many of the posts on the GD Board. Nothing changes. This game just attracts more than its fair share of flakes. No doubt we'll see the same post ten years from now. It is what it is. So if you want to play, accept the fact that this will happen a certain percentage of the time. And, yes, it's a shame.

As a Provider.....I try so hard not to cancel a session. And If she (The Provider felt that way then you do not schedule the "DATE".

For sure this happened to me today.  Also, be advised with Marc as well.  He threatens you if you cancel on him with a legitimate reason.

I also heard some disturbing news with and provider he use to work with.  Not sure if all his girls are aware of what he does when they want to move away from him…

Yep. Throw in manicure, dry cleaning, tolls and more. I was never a "high priced call girl/well-reviewed providers" believer. The proof was not in the experience for me. I haven't been able to have a good session in over a year and a half. Flakes are so rampant for me that I don't believe there are real escorts anymore
