It's been over 3 years since touring beautiful St. Louis, I'm sure many things have changed. I'm going to be there soon and would like to check out some new places. Where ever I am I like to contribute to the local community instead of big corporations. I would also like to know of any areas that were once safe but no longer are. So much has changed in this world!!! I do like to avoid down town and don't mind the suburbs.

I love nature spaces, hiking kayaking, whatever the weather permits. Where are the prettiest and safest places to get outside? I normally have only 1 meeting a day so I have plenty of time to get out into nature

Are there any farm to table restaurants ? What are the best locally owned places to eat?

Which nice, clean areas are popular for ladies to stay? Are any previously safe areas no longer safe?

Any safety info is greatly appreciated.

Hope you have a good visit to St. Louis.

As far as I know, not much has changed as far as safe and hot areas. Downtown seems to be a more dangerous place these days with increased violent crimes but you already mentioned wanting to avoid there.

As a hick from the sticks of Illinois who just wanders into the St. Louis area for his fix I really don't know much about local restaurants etc. Anymore I just drive in, get what I need, and then head for home.
