I recently noticed that K Sweeties accepts USDT... Does anyone know of any other Bay Area orgs that accept digital currency? Has anyone tried using that as a payment method or have any opinion on the matter?

leaving a digital trail of your illegal activities, why not just pay with a credit card?   Save your digital money for when you are paying for something that is legal.   Only one thing is untraceable, and that is CASH.

USDT is Tether, a cryptocurrency. Crypto is Greek for hidden. I don't know how Tether works (they could add a layer that de-anonymizes transactions or keeps records in clear text) but, in principle, it can be as secure and untraceable as any other crypto(hidden)currency.

Mainly because they don't take credit cards... LOL. I'm less worried about "the man" tracking me than I am my SO tracking the money. However, point taken.

All types of cryptocurrencies are becoming easier and easier to track these days. Just do a quick Google News search. Crypto users are getting busted all the time now for illegal acts they committed YEARS ago. Uncle Leo has figured out the Blockchain. It's all right there, if you know how to piece together the puzzle.

As CDL said, the good ol' greenback is still the best way to go. For all the hype about cryptocurrencies being used to fund criminal activity, the reality is, $100 bills are exponentially more popular for such things, and much harder to track. That's why the U.S. government is pushing so hard for a digital dollar. If they ban cash, they control everything.
