I normally host out of my apartment but I would really like to travel more this year. I have Birmingham on mind and just wondering how safe it was to host out of a hotel. I always wondered about hotel staff noticing the extra foot traffic of men walking through the lobby. Does anyone have suggestions as far as a good and safe area in Birmingham to host?

That's all I know is hosting in hotels. I don't think if I had my own residence that I would want to bring all my clients there and even when I did had my house it was never a thought. I have recently been exploring Alabama from Huntsville to Birmingham. I will say that there were a ton of police of Oxmoor Road. And no I had nothing to do with me or what was going on around me but knowing they were right there made me feel uneasy. I don't need them patrolling like that and possibly pulling over one of my clients. LOL I'm currently trying the Hoover area so we will have to see how well it treats me!!

Thanks for your reply! So sorry for the late notice. I guess I am not that frequent on these forums. I visited Hoover about a week ago. I set up in a nice hotel at the riverchase mall. It was a busy hotel with lots of traffic so I thought it was perfect. Once I posted my ad, I received a ton of calls. But no one was willing to provide references. Some even seemed upset that I asked. It occurred to me that the providers in the Birmingham/Hoover area are not screening. Does this mean it is safe? I couldn't take any chances. I ended up leaving. I need to know they don't have a bad rep of being a violent rapist, stalker, or LE. As a traveling provider, how are you sure they are safe before seeing them?
