Hi Gentlemen!!! I am looking to start touring in the next week or two and I want Alabama to be my first stop. I am not familiar with your state so I am looking for places (popular areas/cities) to stay/play in. I would greatly appreciate any help/info you could give me...thanks in advance!!

If you are coming to the Birmingham area I would suggest the Hoover/Hwy 280 area because there is lots of traffic to and from Birmingham with nice hotels shopping and restaurants. Places I would not recommend are the Homewood area Lakeshore or Oxmore. That is where 99% of the drugs and trashy BP girls area.
Do NOT stay in the hotels near the airport.
If coming to Montgomery (please!), I would recommend the eastchase area just off of I85. Lots of nice hotels ans good places to eat and shop.
I'm new to Alabama, enjoying the beautiful recreation areas around Huntsville, so I hope you may include Huntsville when you tour.
